Water park toddler zone
Definition
A dedicated low-feature splash pad inside a paid water park, fenced off from the main slides and pools, designed for guests under 48 inches and explicitly age-restricted to keep older kids out.
Water park toddler zones are functionally identical to a municipal splash pad — same zero-depth design, same low sprays, same tipping bucket — but they sit inside a $40-per-ticket gated facility. Parents pay the gate fee primarily to access the zone for their toddler while older siblings tackle the slides.
Most water park toddler zones strictly enforce a 48-inch maximum height, which removes the rough-housing risk that municipal pads sometimes have. They typically include adjacent shaded seating, hydration, and a dedicated cabana-rental section for premium guests.
