Veterans Plaza is the social heart of downtown Silver Spring and the interactive splash fountain is the kind of place where a casual after-dinner walk turns into a soaked-kid memory. Programmed jets pulse through the plaza, surrounded by the AFI theater, the Silver Spring Civic Building, and a dozen restaurants.
