Sun & skin
- SPF 50+ mineral sunscreen (zinc oxide for sensitive skin)
- Wide-brim sun hat per kid
- UPF rashguard or swim shirt
- Lip balm with SPF
- Aloe vera gel (for the ride home)
Water gear
- Swimsuit (already worn under clothes saves a changing-room trip)
- Water shoes with grippy soles (concrete gets hot and slick)
- Goggles for ages 4+
- Two beach towels per kid
- Spare swim diaper(s) for under-3s
Hydration & snacks
- Insulated water bottle, frozen the night before
- Electrolyte packets or freezies
- Dry snacks (crackers, fruit, granola bars)
- Cooler bag with ice pack
- Hand sanitizer for pre-snack hands
Safety & first aid
- Mini first-aid kit (band-aids, antiseptic wipes, tweezers)
- Emergency contact card in your bag
- Phone in a waterproof pouch
- Whistle or bright-colored swimsuit so you spot kids quickly
- Allergy meds / inhaler if relevant
Logistics
- Splash-pad address, hours, and any closures (check SplashPadHub before you leave)
- Quarters or change for parking meters
- Plastic bag for wet swimsuits on the way home
- Dry clothes for each kid
- Wet wipes & a small trash bag
