SplashPadHub launches nationwide directory of verified splash pads
May 1, 2026 β SplashPadHub
SplashPadHub today launched a nationwide directory of verified splash pads and spray parks across all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, giving families, journalists, and parks departments a single, free, searchable home for an amenity that has quietly grown four- to six-fold since 2010. The directory consolidates municipal, county, and community pads with hours, fees, accessibility features, water-management system type where known, and parent-reported amenity notes.
The launch follows a multi-month verification effort focused on confirming each location against city parks pages, county recreation calendars, and parent-submitted reports, then resolving conflicts before publication. Every listing includes a permanent canonical URL, structured data for search engines and AI assistants, and a clear timestamp indicating the last verification pass.
SplashPadHub also released a national interactive map, a state-by-state coverage dashboard, a planning tool for family trips, and a bilingual English/Spanish surface area for high-traffic state and city pages. The directory is free to search, with no paywall, no manufacturer sponsorships, and no paid placement.
"Splash pads are the most equitable public-water amenity America builds β nearly all of them are free, the drowning rate is functionally zero, and density tracks heat exposure rather than wealth," the editorial team said in a statement accompanying the launch. "Families deserve a directory that treats this category as the climate, public-health, and parks infrastructure it has become."
Journalists, researchers, and parks professionals can request custom data extracts, embargoed access to upcoming research, or interviews via the SplashPadHub press room.
